Algo Communication Products Ltd. is an innovative company developing and manufacturing unique products primarily for the business telephone industry. We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our team in Burnaby, B.C. As Electro Mechanical Technician you will build, test and package product in our production facility.

· Under general guidance with limited supervision, the successful candidate will perform electro-mechanical assembly and other related assembly tasks as assigned.

· Follow detailed assembly procedures and instructions (both paper and digital format) while performing assigned tasks in compliance with quality workmanship and industry standards.

· Use hand tools and power tools such as screw drivers, torque drivers, wire strippers and crimping tools to prepare and assemble electronic/ electrical box builds.

· Report problems and rejections of first-off product and other issues to Production Manager for correction.

· Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.

· Observe all safety procedures and precautions.

· Contributing your expertise to help solve design and assembly problems, and to help develop and improve assembly techniques and documentation

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Degree or Diploma in electro-mechanical disciplines is preferrable.

· 2 + years of Electronic Manufacturing and repair experience.

· Testing and inspection of PCBs is an asset.

· Experience in ESD procedures and Lean principles.

· Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.

· Excellent vision.

· Ability to use small hand tools.

· Fluency in speaking and reading English.

· Able to follow Employee Policy document and all safety standards.

· Willingness to participate in decision making, supporting the team and continuous improvement.

· Perform other duties as required
