Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Production Planner to oversee all aspects of production planning process, including the integration of forecasting data for released products within our supply chain. This role ensures that our production schedules are accurate and timely, allowing us to consistently meet delivery commitments and support Algo's growth trajectory. The Production Planner will work closely with Operations Leadership, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and R&D teams to maintain the accuracy of production planning data in our systems.
Responsibilities
· Production Planning Updates: Work closely with Sales Operations to collect relevant data, update production planning tools, and maintain accurate information in SAP for seamless production scheduling.
· Production Order Management: Manage the timely entry of production orders in the system, forecasting 18 months in advance to support efficient procurement and resource planning.
· Data Integrity in SAP: Ensure data accuracy in SAP, including dates, lead times, and product lifecycle details, providing reliable information for business decisions.
· SAP MRP Migration Support: Support the transition to SAP MRP by assisting with implementation, testing, and validating data to ensure precise resource planning.
· Issue Resolution & Risk Management: Identify potential planning issues, collaborate with the Supply Chain team to address them early, and develop risk mitigation strategies for high-impact scenarios.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact between production, sales, and operations to ensure alignment on planning and respond promptly to changes in demand or production capacity.
· Continuous Improvement & Lean Principles: Champion continuous improvement by enhancing demand planning models, recommending process improvements, and supporting initiatives related to lean manufacturing, inventory optimization, and cycle-time reduction.
· Operations Support: Provide assistance to the Operations team as needed with tasks like backflushing, order expediting, and other supply chain activities to reduce lead times and maximize efficiency.
Required Qualifications
· 3-4 years of experience in a Production Planner role, ideally with hands-on experience using SAP ERP.
· Demonstrated knowledge of production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management in an operational environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and collaborate across teams.
· Excellent ERP system skills
· Excellent Excel skills
Additional Qualifications
· Background as a buyer or expeditor in a manufacturing or production setting.
· Formal certification in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Logistics.
· Experience in an electronic assembly or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
· Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and reporting tools to track KPIs and support decision-making.
Compensation
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
