Role Overview:
Using SolidWorks software you will design plastic and metal components for 3D modelling and mechanical testing. You are proficient in the use of Solidworks through formal training or equivalent experience and are able to quickly create 2D and 3D designs based on collaboration with Algo team members. You are able to independently produce detailed engineering drawings and photo-realistic renderings using SolidWorks software. You are familiar with 3D printing and have extensive experience in 3D modelling. You have a strong understanding of engineering principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards. This role is an entry level role with room for growth!
 
Responsibilities:
·        Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks software based on project requirements.
·        Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and modify designs.
·        Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards and company specifications.
·        Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes in design or production requirements.
·        Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and other documentation required for manufacturing.
·        Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
·        Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and production staff to resolve any design-related issues.
·        Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation.
·        Assist in the development and improvement of drafting procedures and standards.
 
Qualifications
·        Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in relevant industry
·        Proficiency in SolidWorks software.
·        Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
·        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
·        Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
·        Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
·        Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
